SPPUG’S Next Top Model… Driven App Breakdown

It’s been almost 4 weeks since I braved the stage at the January meet up of the Scottish Power Platform User Group and almost time for the February meet up.

I’m going to be featuring the 4+1 features from my presentation in the next couple of blogs, so look out for that content coming in the next few.

EVENT RECAP

The fantastic Will Rowe brought his usual humour to the stage to kick us off, and then it was my turn to face my fears and run through my presentation. A few tecnhical hiccups later and I got in to my stride.

After that Mike Pearsall shared how Power Platform and D365 F&O are a match made in heaven. It was treat to see how F&O has integrated more with the Power Platform through Virtual Tables and the capabilities of Power Automate, but also how familiar it still was too. I was also very excited that exploding ‘BOM’s was still a thing – in my early interactions with NAV and F&O at Insights I remember being shocked at how dangerous sending booklets and merch was, what with constant tickets for exploding orders!

Finally, my team mate from the Scottish Summit Franco Musso shared with us how skills from Canvas Apps can easily be transferred in to Power Pages, as well as sharing how extremely powerful and wide reaching Power Pages are.

It was a fab evening of content and catching up with people from the Community. Bring on the next one!
